Our thoughts and prayers to all on Hawaii Island who are suffering from the effects of Iselle. Those of us on the Westside who experienced Iwa and Iniki sure understand what they are going through! Nice to see all those who are mobilized and getting them the help they need. However rural folks are strong and survivors as we have learned from our own community pulling together in the past. Sad to say, there will be scammers out there taking advantage of the situation. If you wish to help, please make sure your donation is going to a LEGITIMATE source. Also if you have friends or family in those area please tell them to be careful of unlicensed contractors/builders, etc.
