Our twice yearly Scientific Advisory Committee meeting is taking place in Edinburgh today. Its at this important gathering that some of the worlds leading cancer researchers select which new research projects Worldwide Cancer Research will fund. In this round we had 428 projects submitted and after the peer review process which takes a detailed look at the quality of the science, 135 of the applications have gone through to this final stage for discussion. The committee is spending today poring over the projects and by tonight will have allocated £4.75m to the best projects. We cant wait to see what exciting new projects will start in January.
