Our underlying problem is not diversification..our problem is incompetence and corruption simple!!! If we say diversify, my question is diversify to what?? Agriculture, other mineral resources?? how much do we think the nation would earn as revenue? Peanuts!, relatively speaking, besides this would take time. This is a nation of 170 million people, not 30 million, and our population should be an asset, not a liability. Rather than fix our power infrastructure, the catalyst for growth, to get countless closed down businesses and Industries up and running, directly and indirectly providing employment to tens of millions of Nigerians and having a robust tax system, to raise enough revenue internally, thereby putting less pressure on our foreign earnings, this clueless and corrupt Govt mismanaged and misappropriated money with impunity. What happened to the billions of dollars spent on PHCN? What happened to the ECA?, where are the billions of dollars oil missing that cost SLS his job as CBN gov?. This Govt is a mess, riddled with scandals...its tragic! Even after mismanaging billions of dollars on PHCN, and then selling PHCN to their cronies, friends and family members in late 2012/early2013, a process carried out without any form of diligence or transparency, this same yeye Govt bailed out the same cronies and friends with over 200 billion, to fix the same PHCN. I mean its ludicrous!! Now that the nation is almost broke, where is the money going to come from now to fix anything?
