Our very own Upper School Librarian, Maggie Knapp, was recruited as an essay reader in the Library of Congress “A Book That Shaped Me” summer writing contest, open to 5th and 6th grade students in Washington DC, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. The contest was administered by public libraries and essay judging was coordinated by the Library of Congress. Final contest winners will be honored at a ceremony in October. In their one-page essays, students wrote about books that made a difference in their lives.
