Out On The Pike Tuesday, August 12, 2014 Hello? Is there anybody out there? Oh, boy, did we sleep late last night. Thats because it was late when we lay down to sleep. One sure way to wake us up in the morning is a good old cat fight with all the cats in the house with a Pomeranian along to referee. That makes for one heck of a alarm clock. My eyes still dont want to open and the coffee hasnt done squat so far. Sip, Sip, nothing. It is 67f/19c here. The sky is covered with white for now. With the humidity at 99% this morning it feels like youre wading through the air. We might hit the mid seventies for the days high and precipitation is at 30%. We got the rain weve been needing yesterday. Boy did we get the rain. Now we have to let if dry for at least one good hot day and then get the lawn mowed. Traffic on the interstate and the pike are normal this morning. Other than the daily routine there is nothing that needs our attention today. That is a good thing. I dont even want to move today. Yesterday was rough and Im dealing with the leftovers this morning. Hopefully it will get better as the day moves along. If anything comes up that we have to deal with well take care of it. There are several little jobs that I need to do and its past time that they should have been done. There is no change in our reading material. The same book for me, I think Mary is still one the first book of the her new series. We havent watched anything new not on the screen or on television. TMC featured Marlon Brando movies yesterday. We had them on, but werent watching them. It was just white noise for the evening. Yesterday we went to New Castle, IN to Greenfork Alignment, better known as the Goodyear Tire Store, and had a new set of tires put on our station wagon and asked for an alignment on the front end. It was pulling hard to the right. It turned out that they did a “four wheel alignment” which I had never heard of until then. The new tires make the ride feel like its different car and the steering is now spot on. They are 80,000 mile tires so they should last for a long, long, time. After returning from there we went visiting for a couple of hours. We didnt stay long because I didnt feel much like being anywhere but home. It was a rough evening and night and as the day began to close I began to get remorse. I think Ma is still a bit miffed at me. It wasnt me talking, it was the medicine I took. I really, really dislike taking certain medications. OK then, Im going to go in search of some songs to get put up this morning. I have an opening song in mind to start with but what comes up after that is anyones guess at the moment. May you have one of those special days today where everything goes right, unless you are doing something bad. Then youre on your own. Yeah, you. You know who you are. Im laughing of course.
