Out On The Pike Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Is it Monday again? No? IT sure feels like it. If it was foggy this morning it has lifted above the trees now. Its 63f/17c, 0 mph wind, 0% precipitation, and 93% humidity. There is a small sliver of a crescent moon hanging in the air, lonesome with no stars for company. The interstate is crawling with noisy vehicles this morning. Th pike is lonely with nothing to provide service to. The other day I looked out on the interstate and saw a prison bus being escorted by two armored military vehicles front and back on it. Like Ive said before, we see some pretty scary things out there from time to time. “What has you aggravated already this morning?” She asked with a frown. “CATS! Freaking nasty little fur covered demons with four legs, THATS WHAT!” He replied trying to conceal his level of displeasure and not succeeding, “CATS!” Yeah, well, it wasnt all that bad, it was just that all of the pets came to wake us up in one wave. They have been taken care of and Ma made coffee for us. Plans for the day are going to be trying to run a recovery disc on my laptop and seeing if there is anything salvageable. Maybe at least the hard drive is still alive. All of the OOTPs are saved on there, all my photos, story ideas, coffee pictures, etc are saved on there. I guess it could have been worse. It didnt explode or catch on fire or anything weird like that. Give thanks for the good in it I guess. Mary is back at the JD Robb books. Ive started a new book titled “Gears of a Mad God.” It is a steampunk Cthulhu mystery, so far, so good. No new movies for us. TCM was on in the background as we went about our business yesterday. There wasnt anything exciting there but we did catch a Virginia Lake film. I dont remember ever seeing a film with her in it. She was very attractive and a good actress. Sorry, I dont know the name of it. A theme for music has alluded me once again for this morning but I woke up with Kim Carnes singing “Betty Davis Eyes” in my head. Thats as good as anyplace to start. This is where I get off this morning and start getting busy. May you day be a sweet and wonderful day! May your God go with you. namaste
