Out next DDMA profile is The Clay and Paper Gallery of Art owned by Barbara Melby-Burhans and Ira Burhans, opened in 1991. What inspired Barbara to start her own business is that they are both artists. She always dreamed even as a young girl it would be great to have her own shop. An art gallery just made sense. Their specialty items include fun, whimsical pottery, jewelry, glass, paintings, original prints, paper sculpture, metal works and art made from recycled materials. Representing about 300 artists, all items are handmade in the USA There wasnt must here when I opened my first little store front with a big studio behind it but I thought Dunedin had the best potential of any of the other towns around here. Barbara says , I love Dunedin because it has a small town feel with individually owned restaurants and shops. I also love that we have a strong merchants association working to promote the town. And finally I love, that the barrier islands are not built on and are state parks for everyone to enjoy. Go visit them at 362 Main St. Dunedin, FL, 727-736-0934 claypaper
