Out on the town! I enjoyed a shift observing Wrexham Street Pastors in action last night. Made up of volunteers from numerous Wrexham churches, they are a valuable contribution to the night time economy. They look after the vulnerable, making sure that people get home safely and offer practical help even offering flip flops to ladies that cant walk in their heels and have taken them off. Their work helps many and is clearly appreciated by the Police, the health service and door staff, many drinkers even stop to say thanks. We saw it all last night as town was very busy and Im glad I got the chance to see them in action from 10pm-4am. I noticed areas where their work needs supporting and I will do whatever I can to help them.
