Out riding on my mountain bike this afternoon in bright sunshine with a strong cold south-westerly blowing in my teeth. Felt so alive. The grass looks soft like fur and lush and emerald green and there are new lambs everywhere and then you smell some heavenly scent from something just bursting into flower. But spring is not officially here for another couple of weeks yet. I rode up the mountainside via Waite Road and sat on the high ground up there watching afternoon shadows lengthening over the landscape. Put on an extra warm layer for the trip down and flew down with the wind behind me. Wooohooo!
