Out the past couple of days still getting a bunch of whitebass - TopicsExpress

Out the past couple of days still getting a bunch of whitebass with some crappies and perch mixed in but has definitely been a little slower. When we get on a school they bite but the schools have been moving quite often and its been hard to really stay on them for any length of time. Today we drilled in a few hundred yards from anyone just to get away from the noise and it lasted for about 10 minutes...hahahaha. The fish really do like quiet ice. Same patterns #2 pimples and 1/16 oz. slender spoons. The Otter Street Fishing Club was out plowing new roads today and as far as travel goes, its quite bumpy but pretty easy to drive out. Still had a front wheel drive car out there today. There are some bigger drifts but easy to see and avoid. Ice is about 22-24 for the most part but still have found some spots about 12-14 that must have been under some big drifts earlier. Marking and seeing a lot of walleyes on the Aqua-Vu but nothing has shown any interest. One of these days......The fish Ive been cleaning have been full of 2-4 trout perch which is funny because i have not seen any schools of them all season. Talking to the game warden today and very few walleyes have been caught all year. something is up but with the lower forage base on bago this year you would think those fish would eat....theres always tomorrow! report back then.
