Outlook: -Concerns on Greece’s possible exit from Euro zone is dragging Asia & Oil down further. -Markets would open with weakness inline with overseas cues, although falling crude and favorable Core sector growth would offer some support. -No major announcements from Banker’s conclave, but PSU Banks could be in focus as Govt. shows strong intent to revive beleaguered sector. -Action will start shifting to Q3 result season, which begins with Infosys (9th Jan). -Nifty needs to surpass resistance zone of 8500-8600 to nullify Bearish engulfing and contemplate a move towards 8900. -As per media reports, Govt. is likely to allow private firms to build & operate critical railway lines connecting Coal India mines to power, steel & cement projects.
