Outside Path and Inside Path Though countless Dharma doors (Paths) - TopicsExpress

Outside Path and Inside Path Though countless Dharma doors (Paths) exist we can say most are characterized by outside or inside Views. Outside paths emphasize or focus on what is called external circumstances. Assuming (w/out reflecting on) the reference point of an abiding self (inner point of view) we are convinced that there is some sort of solid world that must be navigated. The external path acquires navigation tools and feels like “making one’s way” through the world (w caution, power or some sort of confidence). These paths often rely on gods, spirits, beliefs, commitments to specific conduct and a vigilant sense or ordering and reordering the world so it doesn’t hurt or interfere with your unexamined notions of an abiding self. If you have this View of your experience then, regardless of what you have been taught, you will travel the Path this way.
