Outside of banning..this article explains well why labels are (were) important. And it is becoming glaringly obvious why the regulators dropped the ball intentionally. And they are getting away with it! I agree that the system for oversight is outmoded and completely messed up but not for the same reasons that industry is complaining about. The fact of the matter is that we as consumers should not be pigeon-holed into accepting their definitions of labels..natural...organic...OR GMOs! (genetic editing or otherwise.)
