Outsurance is very active with their advertisements nowadays but what they fail to tell you is that if they get a sell signal they will close the deal on the spot, no further advice even if they know that you could do better with another product of theirs, or that your request will prejudice you. I have a friend who is a single mother and for whom money is at a premium. She approached Outsurance for Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance which Outsurance promptly gave her. They did not tell her about Supported Insurance in which she could insure her household contents as well as her motor vehicle for more or less the same money. She would save on her motor vehicle insurance and have her household contents covered too. It is a good ethical technique that are practised by all reputable short term insurers that I know of except for it appears Outsurance? My friend suffered a burglary recently and that is where I discovered she was not covered, because she did not know about Supported Insurance and Outsurance did not bother to tell her. I approached Outsurance and was promptly rebuffed. I have all the correspondence re the above on record should anybody want more detail.
