Ouuuff, 22 hours of sleep and some reflecting later, I can say this past weekend was one of the best, most fun, inspiring, and motivating weekends Ive ever had. First off, Friday night at O Lounge was another great milestone for the club. Its 9 year celebration of hard work, sweat, dedication, and love for music showed in the vibe, energy, and temperature of the club. Funkagendas set was perfect for the night. High energy, a mix of styles in which the club has seen over the years, and he really took everyone on a journey. Similar to the one O Lounge has taken us on over its 9 years of spectacular parties!! Secondly, Sunday morning for Hugo Ms and my first time ever playing Comfort Zone was magical, and motivating. Given the opportunity to play a club which has so much history behind it in the Toronto Underground House Scene was such an honor. Ive been attending the club for years, and have seen so many of my favorite local djs who I have looked up to and been inspired by, experiment, grow, and evolve into successful ambassadors of the music I cannot live without. So I would like to give a huge, sincere thank you to everyone who came to support us Sunday morning, anyone who has attended one of our parties, and anyone who I have come across in my journey, who I have met, shared stories, had a laugh, inspired, been inspired by, and connected with musically. Without you, I would have nothing to believe in, or anything to motivate myself to be great, and I am grateful to have you all in my heart. Last but definitely not least. Chris Fresques March Madness Birthday party at Club 120. Ive been there from Day 2 every weekend, and have watched Chris put every ounce of his love, time, and energy into that party (aside from his wicked music productions). This party has grown so much, and the vibe is so natural and real, that the biggest budget in the world couldnt buy and wish they could, and its all coming together with dedication, loyalty, love, and the surrounding of the right people. (We know who we are ;) ) It wasnt even my birthday, but I got an amazing gift seeing a great friend have his day celebrated at one of the most organic partied Ive ever attended. Were taking you Next Level with these parties, where Up is Underground!!
