Ovaherero and Ovambanderu tribes are threatening to sue, over what they say is derogatory insults that are targeting their tribe, in a book that was distributed in primary schools. The Standard 7 Social Studies book, which was published by Collegium publishers, has contents alleging that the tribes have practices that can spread HIV/AIDs. Baherero and Ovambanderu National Coordinating Commitee, Chairman, Godknows Setekia says they intend to seek recourse before the courts of law, on allegations that they have a practice called Otusira. Setekia says it was an insult to distribute books alleging that the tribes have a practice called Otusira, which allege that when a member of a family dies he or she must be replaced with a new baby during a night vigil service before burial.
