I cant tell you how painful it was to learn of my mothers diagnosis just four months after we buried my father with lung cancer. I can still vividly recall the sharp stab of pure fear ripping through me when my mother told me her prognosis it dropped me to my knees. I have never forgotten. My wish is that research will reveal new and targetted treatments that will make it less debilitating and eventually a thing of the past.
