Over 3 years of unrest have created the worst humanitarian crisis in the modern history of the Middle East region. Over 9 million Syrians are in need for humanitarian aid, around 6 million people have been internally displaced and more than 2.7 million refugees have fled the country to neighbouring countries. In 2014, Islamic Relief continued its emergency to alleviate the suffering of Syrians both inside the war-torn country and inside Syria and in neighbouring countries. From the beginning of this year up until 28 April 2014, we have reached 76,500 people inside Syria, 231,552 individuals in Jordan, 102,828 people in Lebanon, and 142,500 individuals in Iraq.
