Over 600 students enjoyed Pioneer Day at Har-Ber Village today as they shucked, shelled and ground corn, played with old-fashioned toys, and watched demonstrations of flint knapping, broom making, spinning, weaving, Dutch oven cooking, natural dyeing, flax preparation and more. Students visited with a school marm, viewed historic postage stamps and learned about printing on a printing press. Many of the same activities will take place tomorrow. Well also have live music and pulled pork sandwiches by Santas Old Broads and Indian tacos by Tina Yazzie.
