Over and over, we sing and for good reason, “O Little Town of Bethlehem” and rightfully so, because the scriptures say in Micah 5:2, that it was in this little burg where Messiah was to be born. It evidently must have been an obscure passage, because certain rulers neglected its reading. It could have been, that in the case of Bethlehem as it was true for Corrie Ten Boom, who prayed for “seeing eyes to be made blind”. In the final verse, though is a key phrase.
