Over-pulling happens a lot. If you find yourself having the bar crash on you or you find it difficult to meet the bar when racking it, chances are that you are over-pulling. This causes the bar to accelerate further than it should and you miss the timing of peak bar velocity within the bar path. Relaxing the arms especially when performing the second pull is crucial in a quick and solid turnover. If the arms are involved in the pull (i.e. actively flexed; different from passive bent from engaging the lats which is not easy to achieve), they cant relax in time for the turnover and you end up being too slow shooting the elbows through. Pull with the arms loose. 16 singles at 95kg. 2kg more than the previous session of cleans.
