Over the holidays I (Licensee Sara) watched Big Eyes, about Margaret Keanes famous paintings and the plagiarism thereof. The movie is a fun one to see for art lovers and Tim Burton fans especially, but it touches on such an important subject--how intimate art is to our souls. Art should touch us and be personal to us, and that means that good art is a subjective thing! When you come to a Paint Nite event, you get the chance to think about what you connect to personally as an artist, and modify your painting as you go to fit that.
