Over the last couple of weeks weve been contacted by people whove attempted to send us mail only to have it returned. Its happened to nearly every member of our household. We havent made any changes to anyones mail service or delivery address. I went to the post office to try to sort it out this morning and when I got to the counter and explained the issue to the postal worker she just sort of looked at me for an uncomfortable couple of seconds too long and then said, You should catch you carrier and explain it to him so he knows. We live in a pretty decent sized apartment complex. There are a handful of carriers who deliver our mail. They come at random hours during the day. I asked her if she meant to suggest I wait outside for one all day. She decides to leave him a note. She hands me about five inches worth of type register tape and then looks for a pen which takes about 10 minutes. She finally returns with one and tells me to write what I want him to know on the register tape. Obviously I am totally confident that our mail issue will immediately and accurately be worked out. No doubt. Its as good as done.
