Over the last few months as we were preparing for the school year, Ethan and I would frequently talk about how a brain retains information, and the best tools to help him make it through a tough academic year. Now I sit watching him sleep wondering what the future holds... The doctor is assuring me that so far it is probable that this is indeed viral, not bacterial, and that he will have a full recovery without any lasting effects. However, he has also prepared me to know that should this be bacterial, there are several ways Ethan could be different. Either way, we will be changed. God doesnt stop a mom who is too busy by planting her in a hospital room without there being change. Ethan is resting now, but the fever and headache are again not responding well to the tylenol and motrin. We appreciate your prayers, and will rest in this trial knowing God is writing a small chapter in Ethans story.
