Over the last few years Ive been trying to educate myself financially. Ive a long way to go, but its always amazing how opportunistic and insane our banking system has gotten. Lack of checks and balances has led to a market that basically runs itself, controls our political forces and is ultimately controlled by the wealthy few, creating a true oligarchy. As we found out in 2008, it really is too big to fail. This is why there were so few punishments during the banking crisis that almost destroyed a planet. Aso why there have been so few policy changes. Its happened again and again throughout history, and were here again. These are the condition that lead to peoples revolutions, beheadings, socialism, isolationism, corruption, then the slow climb back to capitalism, and finally to oligarchy. Weve got to break this cycle before it breaks us.
