Over the last several years Coach and I have shared Bible verses with each other to draw strength from God. One of my favorite verses Coach and Ive shared comes from Psalm 121 - I lift my eyes unto the hills, from where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD,who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore. As I leave for work today, I take comfort in this passage of scripture that our Mighty God is watching over our Coach today and protecting him from all harm. Today he planned on being at the opening of Make Your Mark in Lexington. Coach Mark Gerald I want you to know that TODAY YOU ARE! I know youre resting to regain your strength to be here physically, but dont you doubt for a second that I KNOW, these KIDS KNOW, these PARENTS KNOW, the WHOLE WORLD KNOWS YOU ARE HERE because its your example thats inspired a community, a state, a nation, and the entire world! So you rest today and regain your strength! Therell be a ton of pictures headed your way this afternoon that will do your heart good and give you the energy you need to keep #Running!
