Over the last year weve been working with one of the top restaurants in Turks and Caicos to help them publish their very own cook book. Coco Bistro is always ranked either number 1 or 2 on Tripadvisor as a must visit restaurant. Its stunning location amongst a tall grove of lush palm trees, allows dining under the stars, and gives a breath taking setting in which to enjoy Chef Stuart Greys creations. A book does not just appear and its taken many months of recipe selection, photo shoots (yum !), page layouts,photo editing, proof reading, recipe adjustments, more proof reading, photo selections, scanning old pictures, cover shoots, cover selections, final proofing and finally printing and shipping. Unlike most books this is a self published book and weve helped Stuart and his team with all aspects of the process from the initial concept through to physically delivering the books to the restaurant earlier this week. We have learnt a great deal about the process of publishing a book and its been a fantastic project to work on. Every visit to the restaurant has been fun and the kitchen and restaurant staff more than helpful in helping us create the images that we hope convey their fabulous food and desire to give a unique dinning experience in Turks and Caicos. The book contains all of Coco Bistros top recipes including Conch 2 Ways, Lobster Spring Rolls, Mahi Mahi with Tropical Salsa, Scallops and Hummus and my favourite Banana Bread Pudding. Over 100 pages of deliciousness ! So here is the book fresh from the printers!
