Over the next 16 months, were getting: - Joe & Anthony Russos Captain America: The Winter Soldier - James Gunns Guardians of the Galaxy - Joss Whedons The Avengers: Age of Ultron - Edgar Wrights Ant-Man As someone who doesnt necessarily love the Marvel movies all that much, its kind of scary how excited and optimistic I am for these four. Sure, I was excited for Captain America: The First Avenger because I saw it at Comic Con, and for The Avengers because it was THE AVENGERS, but I couldnt have cared less for the build-up to Iron Man 3 and Thor 2, even though I kind of liked the latter. These next ones however? Im pumped. Ive allowed myself to get sucked into the hype, and I couldnt be happier. Winter Soldier was the comic that made me fall in love with Cap and with the Marvel universe at large, so to see a movie based on it, a movie that actually looks GOOD, gives me hope for the direction theyre taking with these characters. Of course, only time will tell, but Ive got a weirdly good feeling about where these things are about to go :)
