Over the next 2 1/2 months I am planning on taking my next step in beekeeping by building my own hive bodies, tops, covers, and base boards. I am using eight frame mediums for both brood and supers. I like the English garden design that Brushy Mountain sells. I am thinking of using that style but using shingles instead of a copper metal roof (I read a story about a bee yard that had 4 dozen of their tops taken by copper scrappers)! I know there are dozens and dozens of plans out there and hundreds of youtube videos but I was curious what plans YOU like or what videos you thought were the best.
