Over the past 20 years, Ive managed to befriend quite a bit of amazing friends who happen to be public figures in fitness, or fitness gurus who are just super awesome loving and kind humans, generous with thier educating the public on living a healthy lifestyle and many of them whom are truly LIVING the lifestyle as a living! Im very honored and grateful to have them in my friend group, and I have learned through my own education, training, continued education, and yes simply living the lifestyle that fits into my life, as well as learning from those friends I speak of. I believe you can Never stop learning, and tweaking, trial and error, process of growth along the way is what speaks the loudest. I work with so many different clients on a daily basis, all of whom I respect and am grateful to work with.speaking of clients who are in thier 80s and simply Love walking, playing with their grandchildren without struggle, feeling their balance improve and just living an happy active daily life, fills my heart with feeling proud, honored and loved. That being said, also working with the youth, as young as 18, and having them look up to me as a role model, proving that it IS possible to feel and look AMAZING no matter what age and 50 doesnt look so old anymore.. :-) having them enjoy their workouts with me but also consider me part of their friend group is a huge compliment. I want to always feel appreciated, respected and know that each clients is getting the most out of thier time with me. over the past 3 years, Ive struggled myself with more uphill challenges than I would had liked, and having a type A personality made it very difficult for me to accept and work through. living with the pain and inflammation of Fibromyalgia since the age of 25 was not easy, than serious food alergies, lyme disease and a stress fracture that still has not healed knocked me down for quite a while. My persistence and desire to be Happy, and make the best of it, although in my 30s I must admit I would had torn myself apart by now, the one positive about aging is I have learned to accept and Love who I am No matter what and this offers the young women who struggle with self esteem to recognize its ok, a bump in the road can be repaired. The point Im making is simply to set realistic goals, recognize that its possible you may hit a wall and have to alter your plan but it doesnt mean you have to give up all together. Learn to appreciate and value yourself and what you haveto offer. find something that works for you and grow.
