Over the past couple of years there have been several friends and family who try and discourage others from making donations to the Salvation Army due to their treatment of those who seek assistance yet may not share the same values and beliefs of the organization. Normally I tend to stray away from creating statuses that have the ability to stir up mixed emotions, but by refusing to make any form of charitable donation are you not just as guilty of depriving others of resources they may need? (Keep in mind that not necessarily everyone who walks through their doors share the same values and beliefs as the Salvation Army) At the end of the day, were donating because we hope to make a difference in someones life are we not?
