Over the past decade Ive admired the works of Oswald Chambers, Charles Spurgeon, Martin Luther, A.W. Pink, Tozer, R.C. Sproul, John MacArthur, Alistair Begg, Ray Comfort, etc. They all have the great ability to write devotionals and other material where they maximize the value of what their communicating with a minimal amount of words. Over the past 6 years Ive prayed for God to help me minimize my verbiage while increasing the impact of the message so people can hear God speak more than they hear/read me speak. Well, as usual, God is faithful and Hes allowed me to communicate (mostly in writing) with articles that are usually 500 words (excluding interviews) and rarely up to 1,000. Its worked out wonderfully so far, except now that Ive been asked to speak for 30 minutes at a ladies gathering tomorrow night, I only have 5 minutes worth of speaking written down. Sooo...my wonderful husband encouraged me to elaborate with specifics and details about what I will be speaking on, which covers 41 years of my life. Im up to about 7 minutes now. Only 23 more to go! ;) Prayers that what I share is most pleasing and glorifying to God and edifies the hearers are much appreciated. Thank you.
