Over the past month or so we have had a number of very special cases come into care at New Beginnings and over the next few days we will introduce you to each of them. So first on the list of Nbar newbies we would like to welcome is Wombat. This handsome 9 year old French bulldog arrived with an injury to his elbow which, after X-rays, was found to be broken. This type of injury requires immediate surgery so as to afford the best possible outcomes for range of motion in the leg so Dr Ralph at Southpaws Specialty Surgery for Animals scheduled surgery same day. As we are unsure when the injury occurred the prognosis is guarded but Wombat came through the surgery well and is now recovering with Mandy and family. We have a follow up appointment on Friday so we hope things are looking good. As you can imagine, this type of surgery is very expensive, even with a very generous discount.
