Over the past two decades about 24 million people in over 15,000 villages in India have benefited from rural water supply and sanitation projects with support from the International Development Association (IDA), the World Bank’s fund for the poorest. One of the largest sources of development finance, IDA provides support for health, education, infrastructure, agriculture, economic, and institutional development to the world’s poorest countries. These countries are home to 2.5 billion people, 1.8 billion of whom survive on $2 a day or less… World Bank India
