Over the past two weeks, we have been covering each of the 11 elements of the No Kill Equation we support. We covered them in two groups (for the most part) because they are dual-purpose in nature: they serve to keep animals from entering the shelter in the first place and they serve to get animals out of the shelter quickly. A shelter is supposed to be a safety net, a safe haven and a temporary location. When we keep animals out or we move them through the system quickly, it saves resources and causes much less stress on animals who are already confused and frightened. If you are new to our wall, we invite you to read about the elements below. You may also find a full break down of the No Kill Equation on our web site, along with all of the other philosophies in which we so firmly believe. We support the equation because it has been shown to work across the country in places both wealthy or poor, both rural or urban, both conservative or liberal. All these places have in common is a love for animals and a desire to help them because they have value in our society. Now that our overview is done, please take a few minutes to enjoy a short recap courtesy of Paws4Change and the musical duo, "Fisher."
