Over the weekend, Id been wondering why the thought of getting by to see Uncle Billy was pressing so heavily on my mind. My trips to the Boston area the past few years have been whirlwind, round-trip, drop-off/pick-up/pack-up/head-back things, negating even an hour or so to stop by and say hi. The last of an era in the Igo family - with his parents and siblings having moved on years ago - Uncle Billy was one of those quiet guys with a few words of sound advice accompanied by one of those incredible, reflective, knowing smiles - as if his been there/done that memories kicked in. Thoughts to cousins Kathy, Billy and Maureen and their families, and to Tims family, as well. And a salute from this Tin Can sailor to one who can be counted among our greatest generation.
