Over the weekend, a Muslim woman in Dearborn Heights, Michigan filed a federal lawsuit seeking damages and a change in the way things are done relative to ones arrest. The woman, Malak Kazan (27) was pulled over by the police for driving on a suspended license. Additionally, Kazan had failed to appear twice in court over the license issue. When photographed after her arrest, Kazan was made to remove her hijab (head scarf). Now, she is claiming her religious freedom rights were violated and is demanding that the policy be changed nationwide and that she receive appropriate damages for her humiliation. Need I remind you that this kind of response is exactly what has been predicted by Dr. Frank Gaffney (Center For Security Policy) when Muslims in a host country reach significant enough numbers to begin agitating for their rights. The Dearborn Heights policy relative to hats, scarfs, etc. was instituted for the safety of both officers and prisoners, since any head covering could hide a dangerous weapon or implement. Once again, this situation underscores the question of what is most important--the rights of the accused, or the rights of police officers to do their job. More importantly, the growing issue of Islam and its subversive advance within America is again on center stage! Also occurring over the weekend, the Obama White House has issued a threat to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin (Bibi) Netanyahu for agreeing to accept the invitation of House Speaker John Boehner to speak to a joint session of Congress. Exactly what the threat consists of is unknown. Evidently Obama is fuming that this invitation bypassed him and was done to embarrass him. While a little unusual, the Speaker of the House of Representatives (one of the two houses of Congress) DOES have the authority to do exactly what hes done. As a separate, and co-equal, branch of government, the Congress of the United States can invite whomever they choose to address them. As well, its a little like the proverbial pot calling the kettle black for Obama to even bring up the topic of violation of protocol, since hes violently disregarded, not protocol, but the very Constitution of the United States, and has done so repeatedly! I would encourage you to contact Speaker Boehners office to voice your support for his invitation to Netanyahu. No doubt, Bibi will have much to say about the emerging threat that Irans nuclear program is to Israel and the world.
