Over the weekend the GP youths in Nicaragua and the Dominican - TopicsExpress

Over the weekend the GP youths in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic have managed to share their initial thoughts and impressions of their experience via the GP blog @ global-potential.org/gpblog/ Please take a moment of your day to read their blogs and reflect on the challenges and opportunities and changes that they are all dealing with so courageously and with such grace. Heres just a taster from Emani who is staying in El Almirante: So, my motto for the first day was, “dificil pero no imposible”. The first day when I met my mother, I didn’t speak or understand a lot of Spanish, but I will try and that is one thing I can say I have been and will continue to do here in El Almirante, Nicaragua. Just in these past days, I have learned so much about Spanish and love and happiness. Everyone in this community is really happy and everyone is content with what they have. It is different from what I thought it would be like, but I am definitely not disappointed and today, me and one of my friends, Nelaja, started our morning out at 7:30 by picking up trash near the community church. Then, because of the teen meeting yesterday a bunch of the young people from the community came to build an irrigation route for the water for times when it rains so the area near the kindergarten school won’t get flooded. Then we moved to the field everyone plays on and started removing the rocks everywhere. The older boys like to play soccer and they said the rocks are tedious so we all helped them remove them. Today was really productive and I am proud of all that we accomplished and I hope we get to leave the community better than we found it
