Over the weekend, the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission - TopicsExpress

Over the weekend, the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission selected Jim Unsworth, Ph.D, as the new director of the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife. We are encouraged to hear commissioners tout Dr. Unsworth’s conservation ethic, and we hope his leadership will represent the strong values Washingtonians hold for preserving our states rich natural heritage. Dr. Unsworth has spent more than 30 years in wildlife management with the Idaho Department of Fish & Game and most recently served as that agency’s deputy director. He holds a bachelors degree in wildlife management from the University of Idaho, a masters degree in fish and wildlife management from Montana State University and a doctorate in forestry, wildlife and range sciences from the University of Idaho. Dr. Unsworth will replace Phil Anderson as WDFW Director. Welcome to Washington Jim, we look forward to working with you.
