Over the weekend, this little miracle turned 10. Clementine (or Tigger, to her friends) has been with us since the day she was born (Chaunceys brother, Hunter, bred her mother). Not long after her 1st birthday she was hit by a car in front of our house. Her spine was severed, she could not walk, and her chances were grim. We saw a neurologist who told us that with surgery ($6000), she might have a 50% chance of survival, with the use of her hind legs. We asked about her chances without surgery...25-35%. Well. Here she is...all 25-35% and then some. She runs, she jumps, she retrieves like a fiend. She is completely incontinent, so thank God we live on a farm and can manage her needs...but we cant imagine the last 10 years without her.
