Over the weekend, weve been commemorating the centenary of the #Rohilla disaster. As a young man, Pete Thomson MBE was inspired to join the RNLI after hearing the Rohilla story. He went on to become Whitbys Coxswain, winning awards for gallantry, and now hes curator of the Whitby Lifeboat museum. The RNLI gets in your blood and stays there, he says.
