Over the years Pedro has gifted me with some beautiful feathers which I have been keeping; well the ones I get to before he chews and mangles them. On occasion I give one to a friend in a greeting card, as a bookmark. Its easy to mail and somewhat unique as an enclosure. As my practise in ceremony deepens it became evident some time ago that I would need a proper smudging feather, as opposed to the makeshift use of a couple of (Pedros) feathers. Putting two and two together, I approached my dear friend William and asked for his assistance. Auntie as we affectionately call him, is a Milliner and fashion designer. He is responsible for some amazing creations from head to toe. The idea of creating a smudging fan from Pedros beautiful feathers has now become a reality. Auntie has made a beautiful arrangement with each feather individually drilled and hand-stitched. In a couple of weeks Ill be doing the ceremony, I Choose Me and this beautiful creation will be used to smudge the space and participants.
