Over this weekend driving past the bush land near Toon Toon Creek, I have notice a camper trailer set up and using the facility as there personal camping ground. Where Im talking about is next too the car park where the skate/bike ramp is near Seafront Oval. The council stated some while ago in one of the local papers that they would step up patrolling the car park as campers in them little hippie vans were using it for the facilities in regards to toilets and showers.and camping over night. This camper trailer has been in the bush since Friday and dont look like moving in a hurry. I think its unfair to our caravan parks/camping parks that they are loosing business due to these ignorant campers. We have ample parks as such for camping in the area, they should be made too use them. That is what they are there for, not the foreshore as some of these ignorant people feel its there right to camp where they like. The council stated, as above, that the compliance officers would move these campers on, but there seems to be nothing done about this. Time too step up the patrols and stop this happening.
