Overcoming the Enemy We can be our Own Enemy..! The Enemy can be within US .! Therefore We need to Seek and Accept Deliverance..! Overcoming the Enemy: .... To prevail over (opposition, a debility, temptations, etc.); surmount: to overcome ones weaknesses. 3. To overpower or overwhelm in body or mind, as does liquor, a drug, exertion, or emotion . Enemy: ....... 1. a person who feels hatred for, fosters harmful designs against, or engages in antagonistic activities against another; an adversary or opponent. 2. The Enemy, Adversary, the Devil; Satan. As we see there can be many persons, characters, emotions, attitudes, conditions, situations and demonic spirits to fight against us. Let us not oppose ourselves …… In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. 2 Tim 2:25-26 Whether it is through signs of Depression or Oppression: ……. In our approach to minister to the whole man; we must recognize; that to ignore physical healthcare and the providers is not always sound judgment or practical application of faith, and in so doing; we may actually be in opposition of ourselves. We must take from that, there is importance in the way we apply our time and talents to accomplish any goal. Many teachers have used this scripture to cause us to leave our natural families, but I say that it has done the New Christians more Harm than Good. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 2Cor.6:14-18 I believe a much better approach would be to teach people how to live sober and Godly in this present world. (For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world Titus 2:11-12) Erroneous Statements, Falsehoods and Misinformation Can Cause A Great Deal of Harm: …… A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. Prov. 6:16-19 We must also be aware of lies that subvert the truth of God. Titus 1:11 The Lord delivers the righteous Psalm 34:17-19 Ps142 Let Us Watch What We Say and Keep Our Testimony: …. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: 1 peter 3: 10-13 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Rev12:11 God Gave His Life’s Blood, Now it is Up to Us to Secure Our Testimonies.
