Overnight, Wes did well. His urine output did slow down so he was given extra fluid. The diarrhea also continued which is normal considering he had an anastomosis. Wes has been up in the chair today and walked a lap around the 9th floor inpatient area with physical and occupational therapists today. He wasnt happy about it but once he knew he had to he was determined to get it over with. He was practically sprinting. He is still experiencing pain when he gets up and is still vomiting every once in awhile, but mostly it is the Ng tube making him feel like he has to get sick. A few hours ago he was feverish with a temp of 38.6. That has since gone down. He has some swelling in his face probably due to third spacing. They expect him to be in ICU through tonight at least.
