Overpopulation? Srila Prabhupada explains in a purport of Srimad-Bhagavatam: “Because the father, Krsna, is fully opulent, there is no scarcity of food, and because there is no scarcity, the propaganda of overpopulation is only a myth.”(Purport: SB 9.20.21) In this lecture, Srila Prabhupada speaks of overpopulation in a different way. He explains that when there is unwanted population, the whole world becomes like hell. The definition of unwanted population is the progeny that is begotten without following the rules and regulations. This kind of population is irresponsible to the family, community and even to themselves. Formerly, this was checked by the reformatory method called garbadhana-samskara, a child-begetting religious ceremony. In a godless society , the unwanted children become the criminals who feed the need for wars. prabhupadavani.org/main/Bhagavatam/268.html
