Overtime weve gotten many questions about the way we price our items on Stitched9 and some have considered it too expensive even outrageous, so let me explain what goes into making a single garment for production so you can better understand. Ok so for example: Some folks want us to sell a dress for lets say, $40 so they can afford it.....a dress that costs us 2-3 times that just to produce the dress. So here is a short list of how many people/services WE pay for to get an item manufactured as a small business. Lets go....we have the fabric supplier, the pattern makers, the graders who make the one dress into multiple sizes on paper for production, the cutters who cut hundreds of the fabric pieces before sewing the dresses, the manufacturers to sew the garments, the threads, buttons, needles, etc. the business fees, legal, fees, shipping fees, materials, office supplies, payroll, state taxes, corporate fees..... We dont manufacture in China like most of the garment industry, we manufacture in the US which is significantly more. We dont manufacture millions of pieces (which is why F21 and H&M can sell you a $12 dress) we are a small business offering the best possible price on limited items not everyone will have and still be able support our families. If we had the capabilities to provide Forever 21 prices to the masses we would do it in a heartbeat, but we dont, and cant just yet (its much harder than you think) so until we can please remember this post. To the countless amazing supporters of Stitched9 thank you so much. We are most humbled buy your continued support. For those who cant afford to purchase just yet, rest assured we are always trying our best to grow bigger so we can provide lower prices and services. Love, Stitched9
