Overview: Split Second is a privately funded, short film produced by Thomas Llywarch for the Tales We Tell arts festival in Wrexham. Split Second is a not for profit project and all those involved will be participating on a purely voluntary basis. The short film will premiere on Friday the 27th February 2015 in the Nick Whitehead Theatre at Glyndwr University as part of a seminar entitled from Beer Mat to Big Screen. The film will also be submitted to select film festivals throughout 2015. What We Are After: Split Second is looking for experienced, enthusiastic, creative, slightly crazy individuals to join the team. The project is running from 18/12/14 – 28/02/15 (10 weeks) and is roughly broken down as follows: - Pre-Production: 18/12/14 – 25/01/15 (3 weeks). - Production: 26/01/15 – 08/02/15 (2 weeks). - Post-Production: 09/02/15 – 22/02/15 (2 weeks). Specific times/dates will be negotiated once the team is in place. Production Team: The production team will be responsible for managing and producing all elements of the film. Roles available include: 1) Assistant director. 2) Scriptwriter. 3) Storyboarder. 4) Camera operator. 5) Assistant camera operator. 6) Sound technician. 7) Assistant sound technician. 8) Foley artist/music production. 9) Film editor. 10) Assistant film editor. 11) Costume & makeup artist. 12) Props artist. Marketing Team: The marketing team will be responsible for marketing the film and running the event, this will include production of posters, flyers, invites, press releases and online marketing. Roles available include: 1) Marketing director/ event manager. 2) Copywriter. 3) Graphic designer. 4) Viral marketer.
