Overview of Inexmodas ColombiaModa, aka Colombia Fashion Week, Medellin, Colombia, July 2014. It was the 25th staging of this very important and illustrious event. This video includes an interview with the President of Colombia, Mr. Juan Manuel Santos, done by Olga Maria Czarkowski. It was our first time in Medellin, Colombia. Medellin is a very beautiful city and the people are very nice. And the fashion shows were world class. ColombiaModa is an experience second to none. Excerpt from Press Release on ColombiaModa 2014 Transcending limits and highlighting emerging Colombian talent: the premise of Colombiamoda 2014 * For the second consecutive year, Inexmoda presents three shows in one place: Colombiamoda + Textiles2 + Moda para el Mundo as a representation of the Fashion System. * From 22nd to 24th July the trade shows are expected to generate business opportunities worth approximately $250 million. * The 25th edition of Colombiamoda aims to highlight Colombian design and one of the most innovative and outstanding categories in particular: new young talent. * Non-Stop is a new creation at Colombiamoda: a runway composed of four short shows designed to showcase young talent. From 22nd to 24th July 2014 Inexmoda, the Institute for Export and Fashion, with the support of the Municipality of Medellín, will hold Colombiamoda + Textiles2 + Moda para el Mundo in Plaza Mayor, where the exhibition of garments is combined with raw materials. This year it is expected that 1780 international buyers from 50 countries and about 6400 national buyers will attend. Under the ethos of Transcending limits, the 25th edition of Colombiamoda, Colombian Fashion Week, confirmed that association and teamwork are key to establishing common objectives for competitiveness, sustainability and innovation for a thriving sector. Thus Inexmoda proposes 2014 as the time to act. Colombiamoda returns with its three platforms: with 4732 m₂ of commercial space and over 600 exhibitors, the Knowledge Pavilion Inexmoda-UPB and Runway Trends, positioning itself as the stage of commercial trade within the most powerful Latin American Fashion System.
