A webcast on Wednesday, May 14 (1-3pm EDT), will talk about erosion control practices that protect the natural structure and function of shorelines through strategic placement of materials such as native plants, sand, and stone. Unlike traditional erosion control structures (such as bulkheads and seawalls), living shorelines can stabilize shorelines while maintaining natural processes and land-water connections that are important for wildlife and clean water.
